Witchaven (1995) PC

Witchaven is a dark fantasy game with some role-playing elements (most notably skill leveling and breakable weapons) and an emphasis on melee combat, developed by Capstone Software and released in 1995 as the start of the Witchaven series. It was the first finished title to use the Build engine, along with Capstone's other release William Shatner's TekWar, while Witchaven II: Blood Vengeance followed in 1996. Playing as the knight Grondoval, it has twenty five levels with the evil witch Illwhyrin as the final boss. A modern spiritual successor exists called Arthurian Legends.
