The Terminator: Rampage was released by Bethesda Softworks in 1993 on an engine similar to the Wolfenstein 3D engine, which was also used in their action role-playing game The Elder Scrolls: Arena in 1994. It was their third release based on the Terminator, following from The Terminator 2029 in 1992 and succeeded by The Terminator: Future Shock in 1995, and their first modern-style first-person shooter.
