The Terminator was developed and published by Bethesda Softworks in 1990 for MS-DOS, based on the 1984 film The Terminator. Although an action-adventure game viewed in first-person, it is more similar to a vehicular combat game than a modern first-person shooter, somewhat similar to Hovertank 3D. The original boxed retail disc contained a 5 1/4 inch floppy disk. Bethesda released several more Terminator games through the decade.
