The Catacomb Abyss is the first game in the Catacomb Adventure Series released in 1992, a trilogy of games developed by Softdisk following up from id Software's Catacomb 3-D using a progenitor of the Wolfenstein 3D engine. Unlike the rest of the trilogy, it was released as shareware.
