Logicware was an American game developer focused mostly on ports, although it created an original title called Defiance in 1997 and their 1996 adaptation of Killing Time was substantially modified from the 3DO original. Among the founders were Rebecca Heineman and Scott Campbell, formerly of Interplay Entertainment, and they later also hired Lane Roathe, an oft-forgotten figure in the early history of id Software. Campbell and programmer Nate Trost would follow Heineman to her next venture, Contraband Entertainment.
