Gloom is a first-person shooter released for the Amiga platform in 1995 by Black Magic Software using the Gloom engine. One of the more prominent Doom clones for the system, along with Alien Breed 3D, the engine is sector based, including moving sectors, but all rooms are the same height.

Combat is fast and frantic, inspired by arcade shooters. There are three episodes, the first with a science fiction theme, the next a gothic one, before finally reaching levels set in hell, culminating in a fight with a two headed dragon like creature. The game was later re-released as Gloom Deluxe in 1996, which added new graphics modes and enhancements such as on-screen weapon sprites.

The game was highly moddable via the Gloom Level Editor and has maintained a following to this day, including two commercially released total conversions, Ultimate Gloom in 1997 and Zombie Massacre in 1998, by Alpha Software. These were released as freeware in 2013. The source code to Gloom was released under the Unlicense in 2017, with the game files released as freeware.

A source port to modern systems, such as Windows and Linux, was released in 2020 called ZGloom; versions were also ported to the AmigaOS 4 and PlayStation Vita. A reverse engineered engine, XGloom, had been attempted in 2011. A recreation of the first few levels for the GZDoom engine is also available.
