Dark Forces aka Jedi Knight is a first-person shooter series created by LucasArts using their Jedi and Sith engines. Centered around mercenary Kyle Katarn and pilot Jan Ors, it is part of the Star Wars franchise in the Star Wars Legends continuity (then known as the Expanded Universe).

Raven Software also developed in 2002 and 2003 the games Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast and Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy under license from LucasArts using the Quake III engine from id Software.
A re-master of the first Dark Forces was released for contemporary systems and consoles in 2024 by Nightdive Studios using their KEX Engine. The source code to Raven's games were released in 2013 following LucasArts' dissolution by Disney, and source ports for the earlier games have been produced via reverse engineering.
