Corporation is an early first-person shooter developed by Dimension Creative Designs and published by Core Design. It was released in 1990 for the Amiga and Atari ST home computers, in 1991 for MS-DOS, and 1992 for the Sega MegaDrive/Genesis console (re-titled as Cyber-Cop in North America).
Plot[]
The Universal Cybernetics Corporation has been illegally producing genetically engineered mutants. Now the creatures are on the loose and wreaking havoc. The player is a special government agent, trying to infiltrate their London facilities to expose their crimes.
Gameplay[]
This game may look simplistic now due to its flat polygon walls, but its gameplay was tremendously advanced for the time. It combined a first person perspective with elements of role-playing, stealth, and hacking — many years before System Shock, Thief, and Deus Ex helped solidify the immersive sim. The latter two successors were actually published by later Core Design parent Eidos Interactive.
