Alien Breed 3D (Every FPS Ever Made)

Alien Breed 3D is a first-person shooter for the Amiga released in 1995, and the fourth entry in the Alien Breed series of previously top-down shooters by Team 17. Although low resolution, it actually featured room-over-room geometry, which was not present in Doom on PCs.

Along with Gloom, it was considered among the best first-person shooters for the system. A sequel, The Killing Grounds, was released in 1996 and featured 3D models for some objects. The source code was released in 1997, eventually leading to updated builds for the Amiga. The game's soundtrack was composed by Bjørn Lynne.

The game was remade in the GZDoom engine in 2019 by ActurusDeluxe as Project Osiris for modern PCs. A previous project had targeted the Odamex engine, another the Boom engine, and a level pack based on the game has also been released for Quake (from which the GZDoom project also extracted map data). CravenCoyote is now working on a derived project based on The Killing Grounds.
